Henry Lee, forensic expert for the O.J. Simpson defense, has been found
liable for fabricating forensic evidence.

Two men were found guilty of a 1985 murder. They were convicted in 1989
based on Lee's testimony about bloodstains on a towel.

The murder convictions of the two men were vacated in 2020. Lee was
named in a wrongful conviction lawsuit against town that employed the
police detectives.

Lee had been the chief pathologist for the state of Connecticut.

University of New Haven named its criminal justice institute for him. He
had taught there but is now emeritus.
