Literally decades ago, when Black Holes first became a public thing, I
recall somebody retailing a SF convention about a proposal which was
pitched to a network. The premise was that a family found a black
hole in their backyard, managed to fall in, etc, etc. Looks like
somebody found that old proposal and updated it slightly, mostly to
include the obligatory wokeness.

Don't expect that from 'La Brea'. The producers have already said in
interviews that it is about the people and their relationships. I.E.
the 'Lost' model of soap opera.
