Hi, Welcome to Alup.

I appreciate your suggestion, but as a long term member of this group, let me try to explain why it may not be very practical here. Since its inception, Alup has attracted a very diverse group of people, spread across many different parts of the world, from Indian subcontinent to Europe to North America, even Africa. What binds us together is our love for Urdu poetry and all things related to it. However, not every member of this group, whether casual or regular, can read/write Urdu script. In fact, many members know just Devanagari, or just Urdu, very few are fluent in both scripts.

So, Roman is a happy medium for most of us to stay connected here. In fact, a lot our discussions are in just plain English, simply because that is the easiest for us to engage in.
Personally, even though I can read/speak both Urdu and Hindi, I can not type well in either one, so Roman works the best for me.
