Australian production, also said to be an American co-production.
However, the scriptwriters were in the Hollywood union and there's a
line of dialogue that makes zero sense that the father of the lead
character was an American even though the actor obviously isn't.

It's a remake of a French movie Mark of an Angel (2008).

Lizzie (Noomi Rapace as skinny as ever) is seen at the beginning of the
movie barely holding it together, popping meds that we assume are
anti-psychotics. She's divorced. Both her parents and her ex-husband
Mike (Luke Evans) think she's so unstable that Mike should have full
custody of their son.

We learn that 7 years earlier, her newborn daughter Rosie died in a fire at
the hospital that killed a number of babies and mothers.

Picking up her son from a birthday party at the home of an upper middle
class couple Claire and Bernard (Yvonne Strahovski and Richard Roxburgh),
she spots Lola, the younger sister of the birthday boy who resembles her
and is exactly the right age had Rosie lived. She immediately believes
it's her daughter.

She ingratiates herself into the lives of Claire and Bernard to stay
close to Lola, while neglecting herself, her son, and her job, from
which she gets fired. Claire starts to get really suspicious.

There are a couple of subtle hints that something is going on. The first
hint is an absurd cheat: There was no autopsy on Rosie, which is
downright impossible. Mike ordered the body (what was left of it)
cremated. Claire has trouble convincing Bernard that Lizzie is dangerous
but does not call the police.

The script is lame and there are plenty of contrivances, but Lizzie is
certainly a character for Rapace to play and Yvonne gets to broaden the
characters she plays.

I assume that's Yvonne's natural accent, and Evans (who is Welsh) is
using his natural accent.

Rapace's Swedish accent is explained away that her mother is Swedish; in
fact, the two women speak in Swedish in several scenes. Rapace doesn't
learn accents, which is fine with me.

It's reasonably enjoyable.

Locations are in the suburbs of Melbourne.

I know she's a regular cast member in The Handmaid's Tale, but I'm not
subscribed to Hulu.
