This poem appeared in Issue #6 of the British Zine "Nasty Piece of Work," in December of 1997. It received some negative reader response as being too comical for a magazine like "NPoW," which was know for publishing truly disturbing (and literally sickening) material. The editor/publisher, David A.. Green, defended it rather eloquently, explaining how its presentation/style comments on the media's tendency to present murder (both in the news and on film and television) in comic book fashion. The British always seemed to get my humor, whereas Americans (and certain Canadians) rarely do.
