Rep. Santos faces new charges he stole donor IDs, made unauthorized
charges to their credit cards
By JAKE OFFENHARTZ

Top party officials in the Republican Party of New York may not have
done the best job vetting this guy.

The bill of indictment has been updated, 23 counts replacing 13 counts.

In new counts, he is indicted for unauthorized charges of more than
$44,000 to contributors' credit cards. The monies went into the campaign
fund but in one case, $12,000 went into his personal bank account.

We knew about the falsified personal loan of $500,000 to the campaign he
reported to Federal Elections Commissions to fool the Republican Party
that he had access to real money.

I guess I don't see how he's disqualified to be a member of Congress.
With $3 trillion in debt, Congress regularly appropriates spending of
moneys that don't yet belong to the federal government. But that's not
embezzlement for reasons that aren't clear to me.

what pisses me off here (well, make that one of things that pisses me off)
is that if you or I falsely and illegally charged someone's credit
card, we'd have some detectives knocking on our door the next day,
and a pretty good chance of an ADA having a pretty serious chat
with us (or our attorney) 24 hours later.

Why the fuck was he treated so lightly?

(To be clear, the Federal indictment is a well done piece
of damming paperwork, but he should have been at Central
Booking a year ago).

It's New York, and he's part of an extremely thin majority in the House.
They couldn't afford to take him out of his seat, because they'd almost
surely lose it.

He got away with it because he had help. Nothing happens in a vacuum,
and nothing happens to people with money (for a while).

Look at Rapey McForehead... why is Matt Gaetz allowed to prance around?
Hell, he took down a Speaker of the House, almost single-handedly.

If that proves to be true, then he needs to be expelled from Congress.

OTOH, the Biden DoJ is making these claims...

Homophobia noted.

Oh My God! Someone is defending George Santos.

Did I say George Santos? I meant Anthony Zabrovsky.
Did I say Anthony Zabrovsky? I meant Anthony Devolder.
Did I say Anthony Devolder? I meant Kitara Ravache!

I'm not sure how Biden MADE him do this, but he DID!
He also made George Jew-ish.

Pubiquitous (if that is his real name) is really reaching here...

Santos should indeed be expelled if he committed actual crimes. But the Dems
have been calling for his expulsion long before criminal accusations were
known or leveled based merely on him lying about himself.

Yet they have no problem with a president who has been lying about himself--
and continues to do so even after the lies have been debunked-- for the last
30+ years.

What has the GQP called for, more troon personas?

Hey, here's a thought, instead of making an inaccurate analogy, why
don't you get a pair of balls from somewhere and speak to the subject of
the post?

Irony is dead. George Santos confessed to stealing checks in Brazil in
a deal to drop charges.

That still *is* a crime, right, lawyer? But you're forgiving him
because he committed that crime in Brazil, so it doesn't count as a crime?

The leader of your party has been convicted or scamming with his charity.
He's had to pay for his Trump University scam.
His main business is a fraud, and has a summary judgement saying so.
He's been convicted of defamation and been branded a rapist by a judge.

He's still far and away the front-runner for your party. You know... the
one you pretend not to be a part of - but never seem to denounce them
every time they're caught with their pants down.
