Yesterday, I got through just:

soaps: DOOL - Tues' ep. Oh, thank Ghu! It looks like they are writing
out Talia, who has been an absolutely awful character from the get-go!!
I don't like it when soaps "mass clean-house", which DOOL seems to be
doing right now, but Talia *had to go*... Meanwhile, I think they are
setting up a "who killed Clyde Weston?!" mystery - both Chad and EJ are
obvious suspects, and now Clyde is trying to blackmail Ava Viatli into
selling drugs for him (and we know Ava's good for a murder or two!!). At
the same time, Rafe (while being a dick about it!) inexplicably "hires"
Harris Michaels, to be a detective(?!! - that's not how that works!
that's not how any of that works!!).

The Wheel of Time (Prime) - "Eyes Without Pity" (ep. #2.6). I didn't
care for this episode as much, as it was all about Egwene getting
enslaved, and her immediate "master" trying to break her. (This ep. was
also 70 mins long!!)
Nynaeve and Elayne and the Aes Sadai in the town try to figure out
how to "break" the magical enslavement devices, to rescue Egwene and
some other captured Aes Sedai, but fail to do so. In the end, the local
Aes Sadai is captured and enslaved herself, and her warder is killed.
Lan is forced to cough up that Moraine has found the "Dragon
Reborn", and is then forced to tell the Amyrlin Seat (the head Aes
Sedai) the same, I think. She then summons Moraine for an immediate
meeting, that includes other Aes Sedai, incl. Liandrin (and several
people now know Liandrin is working for the Dark).
The hott EVOL! chyck, Lanfear (Natasha O'Keeffe), shows Rand that
Egwene has been captured, and orders him to leave Moraine. So he goes
after Egwene to try to rescue her. Rand stumbles upon Mat, who pledges
to go with Rand, but Min warns Mat not to go, and that he will kill Rand
if he does. So Mat gives Rand the slip (but will Mat still follow him?).
Two more season #2 ep's to go. I may not get to an episode today
(Thur) though.

I saw another ep. of "The Spencer Sisters" on The C-Wub Wed. night.
Dunno what ep. they are up to now (#3? #4?) but the show seems to be
"settling in" to more of a formula. They now seem to be setting up a
detective agency, and I think may have actually been paid(?) for this
episode's case, which was something about the development of a personal
health care app.

I forgot to mention that on Tuesday night, CBS ran a couple of episodes
of the new "Frasier" spinoff - I saw a little of the end of the first,
and the beginning of the second. It seemed OK, but not particularly good.

That’s a fair assessment. New episodes of both Frasier and Loki drop today.

I'm waiting for all of "Loki" season #2 to drop. I have plenty of stuff
to keep myself busy after "The Wheel of Time". I'll probably try to
tackle "The Continental" over the weekend.

Anim hasn't mentioned Katie McGrath on THE CONTINENTAL. She wears a mask
over half her face, though, and the few people for whom she's taken it
off have recoiled in horror, so this isn't a particularly bunk-worthy
character.

I am also waiting for the entire LOKI season two to drop before diving
in. As for THE CONTINENTAL I think you'll enjoy it. It very much has
the movie vibe and some great music choices to set the mood. There are
also lots of callbacks to the movies which is to be expected for
something that is a pre-sequel. It's also great that they had a story
to tell and finished the story.

If they were to do a second season (doubtful) it would be a completely
different story so no concern for a cliff hanger that may or may not
be addressed depending upon if they were to get a second season. Too
many shows are doing that and then not getting renewed.

Given what we see in the final shot of her I can see why they
recoiled. Especially during that scene when she partakes of some food.
That couldn't have been pleasant to watch.

I'm holding off on The Continental until I watch John Wick again. They
just better not pull it from the streaming channel!

I'm started to develop a bit of a backlog on my DVR. But I did manage
to watch:

Quantum Leap - "Closure Encounters" - I was mostly lost for this
episode. The preview promised Ben leaping into someone who gets
abducted by aliens and I was really looking forward to seeing that.
Then they back peddled and made the whole thing a scam. But I was
mostly confused by who exactly did Ben leap into and what exactly did he
change in the timeline. An interesting twist (and retcon) would have
been if the people who Ben has been leaping into were the same people
who have been saying they were abducted by aliens. I know the retcon
wouldn't fit the continuity, but since when does this show care about
continuity.

I had no idea about this. I’ll go look for it. Thanks!

Checks just watch…

Oh hell. It’s on the Peacock. There’s a 50-50 chance they’re going to try
and make me pay to watch it.

Checks peacock

Yes, sure enough, like everything else I want to watch on the Peacock, it’s
behind a pay wall

But Plex has it!
Well, this will be my first foray into the world of John Wick…

I'm guessing it was sppsd to be Travis Walton, the guy from the FIRE IN THE

Wasn't there a running joke about people in the original show with the people
Sam lept into thinking they'd been abducted by aliens?

It does both. It comes free with Cox, but it’s constantly asking me to sign
up because it has both free programs and programs you have to pay for. And
you never know which you’re trying to get until you actually click on one
to watch it. I can’t remove the app from the Cox DVR, but I can remove it
from the fire stick.
