After an arduous workout, I watched:

HENRY CAVILL AS JAMES BOND? *NO THANKS*! HIS NEW SPY MOVIE PUTS BOND TO
*SHAME* AND BRINGS NON-WOKE *FUN*!:
Hollywood has badly mistreated Henry Cavill, shafting him on multiple
projects including The Witcher and Superman, but let me tell you, a trailer
for his new movie was quietly released last week, and it BLEW ME AWAY. Folks,
we need to support this movie set in the 80's, dripping with retro style, a
clever premise, and some good old fashioned spy action, just the way we like
it! I'm sounding the alert my friends! I'm getting behind this movie, and
once you see what it's about, I hope you'll join me in theaters come February
2024 to enjoy a slice of geek cinema heaven! Behold the fun of...ARGYLE!

My very long lab(s) day, so when I got home late, I decided to finish
out "The Wheel of Time" (season 2):

The Wheel of Time (Prime) - Ep's #2.7 & 2.8.
Season #2 ends a lot better and more satisfyingly that season #1 did
(whose ending was apparently sabotaged by COIVD effects (and a sudden
cast departure)).
But after an entire season with the original gang separated and off
doing their own things, this finally ends with the gang reassembled.
Additionally, in a "no surprise" move, Moraine gets her powers back, and
is reunited with Lan (who is far too forgiving of her, and who should
have told her to shove off!).
On the villain end, one is satisfyingly dispatched, while the better
of the two is still around (and can possibly be turned to the good
guys?). However, I was extremely disappointed that about a zillion
people know that Liandrin is working for the Dark, but absolutely
nothing came of it.
Apparently, season #3 is mostly going to adapt the fourth both (with
some of the third book worked in?). But it sounds like the gang will be
split up again, which kind of sucks.

soaps: GH - I think this was just Tues' ep. We get flashbacks of 1990s
era Lois and Ned, as Lois tells Chase (and Brook Lynn) Lois' prior
history with Ned/Eddie Maine... Mason goes "rogue" and intends to kill
Ava even though Cyrus Renault orders Mason to free Ava - but Dex and
Dante get there just in time to rescue Ava, and Dante shoots Mason.
Gregory thanks Tracy for telling Chase the truth.

I recorded "Handyman from Hell" off LMN, but never even got to it last
night. Will have to get to it later...

I watched:

Star Trek: Lower Decks (Paramount+) - "Caves" - For first the first time
ever in Star Trek, they did an episode set in a cave. Correction, for
the umpteenth time Trek does an episode set in a cave, and they mock
cave episodes mercilessly.

Loki (Disney+) - "1893" - The plot finally starts to move forward as
team Loki track down a variant of "He Who Remains" going by the name
Victor Timely as well as catching up to Renslayer and Miss Minutes who
have been manipulating Victor's timeline to create a new "He Who
Remains." Not great but a step in the right direction.

Hell, even "The Orville" has done "cave" episodes, IIRC.

So now I am confused, as it’s apparently the same actor who played Kang
playing the Kang variant. I thought he got kicked to the curb? And here he
is having scenes with Miss Minutes, who is voiced by Tara Strong, who just
got kicked to the curb.

You know, once Loki is allowed to use his powers, who cares if the people
go running for their lives? Why wouldn’t he just smite everyone in his way?

Nope, lots of people wanted him removed and he was removed from a
number of other projects but Disney stuck with him. As for Tara
Strong, she was let go from a different show called BOXTOWN. Though in
that case the show hadn't even started so recasting wasn't a big deal.
It's probably a good thing as it seems like the producers of BOXTOWN
are way too quick to pull the trigger as even in the Insider article
there's no evidence of her actually saying anything worthy of firing.
Only liking and then unliking some tweets where she even says she
liked the tweet after reading the first bit but then later read the
entire tweet and saw how bad it was and unliked it. So she was 'fired'
for not reading and fully comprehending what was being said in a tweet
as even the producers seem to say in their statement

"We believe that our public platform gives us a duty to be careful
when it comes to hateful messages and misinformation online. This
extends to our cast and crew."

I do and always will call them tweets. I'm not even sure what the
alternative name would be as I've heard a couple of names being used.
Plus I don't think X is going to stick because Elon is bound to get
bored in a few years and sell off the company at which time the name
will change again. Hopefully back to Twitter.

Xeets was the only alternative I've heard but then I don't care because
I've never had a Twitter account, let alone an anemic porn one.

There's nothing to find. Her actual statements were on the order of we
should all feel sad for the Israeli and Palestinian civilians that
were hurt in the various attacks. What the studio got upset over was
her liking a few tweets that started out great with similar statements
to what Strong had said. Then got into worse things that she didn't
notice. So yes, she definitely was guilty of not paying close
attention to the tweets she liked, and then later unliked them when it
was brought to her attention what the tweets actually were saying.

Given that she never made similar statements of her own I'm tempted to
believe her. That she didn't pay close enough attention to all of the
tweets she was liking to notice the complete meaning of the tweets she
was liking. Not something I think is worthy of losing a job over.

This two tweet section shows the basic issue
ApparitionAbe?
@AbeAnimated
She liked a tweet saying Islam is a threat and Islamophobia doesn't
exist and she said that Muslims want to take over the world

tara strong
@tarastrong
I liked it when I saw ISIS=HAMAS, I actually didn't read the entire
tweet which is AWFUL & unliked as SOON as I realized. I love
everyone…except terrorists. The internet is SO quick to peg people &
make judgements. I'm still here to help everyone, & I mean that ??

This shows what her actual tweets on the Gaza issue have been

Thank you ?????? we have to help the people in #Gaza. It’s heartless
to do nothing. Every little bit helps. #PrayForPeace

I hope you’re ok, I’m not ??All news is heartbreaking & the images are
repeating in my mind & I’m overwhelmed with sadness, just donating to
innocents in #gaza & those suffering in #Israel. Received some pep
talk requests from @cameo
& I’m donating them all to @ChildrenofPeace
??

Then the other bit of controversy is her response to losing that
Boxtown job where she said it was due to her being Jewish when she
should have said it was due to her making tweets due to her being
Jewish. Instead people are upset over this comment because there are
other Jewish people involved in the production of the show. She
screwed up here but I put it down more to a bad choice of words
because it's the only statement I can find about her position on the
loss of the job.

Is there a different web site? I've heard some people reffering to
something called X but I figure that's either a porn site or one
dedicated to discussing ecstasy.

gives a bowel movement didn't already know that after the first few days?!
