How transparent. They were perfectly happy for DECADES when the court was liberal.

How are they getting around the Constitution's grant of lifetime terms?
or do they just not care what the Constitution says here any more than
they care about what it says on other issues?

"Democrats introduces legislation" is redundant. Right wing assholes
are far too constipated to do it.

The Warren court was largely Republican (Brown v Board of Education,
Miranda, Brandenburg v Ohio). The Burger court was largely Republican
(Roe v. Wade, Skokie). The Rehnquist court was largely Republican (Planned
Parenthood v. Casey). The Roberts court is largely Republican (Obamacare
is a tax).

The Republican party has changed. Democrats participated in certain
majority opinions but are not the primary influence on the Supreme
Court.

All those counter-Reconstruction decisions that largely rendered the
14th Amendment ineffective were made by Democratic-majority Supreme
Courts: The Civil Rights cases, the Slaughter-house cases, and of
course, Plessy v. Ferguson.

Obviously Congress cannot pass legislation getting around the "good
behavior" clause. The only thing that will change the Supreme Court is
the Republican Party getting back to what it had been in the '50s, '60s,
and '70s.

Has there been a Democratic majority on the Supreme Court since
counter-Reconstruction? The Lochner-era decisions were majority
Republican. FDR had a majority-Republican court, especially writing
BTR1701's most bestest decision that made Congress's Commerce Clause
powers universally applicable to all domestic policy.

You listen to enough of them, they want to re-write the entire Constitution until it fits their progressive horror of a society.
