to a university "activist" that there is no apartheid in Israel.

Agreed. She's probably a very pleasant person that just wants the best
for everyone who has been seduced into thinking that the "activist"
crowd is like that too. She doesn't realize she is being used as a
mouthpiece for ideas like "freeing Palestine" which sound wonderful at
the most superficial level but mean literal genocide in real life.
Unfortunately, she's never really read about these issues, met the
people affected, or heard opposing views so she just gobbles it up
because she's getting it from teachers/professors who she's been
conditioned to believe are also people that just want the best for
everyone. She doesn't understand how the teachers and professors have
their own radical agendas and are taking advantage of her naivete.
