Comet is one of the digital subchannels that I've stumbled across which
isn't half bad - it seems to have better stuff than most of the other
subchannels, with a sci-fi focus. I've occasionally watched it - like
the other day they were showing some weird vampire 'C'-movie, with
Catherine Hickland(!). But I wonder how long a channel like this can
last before they "change direction" and make it bland...

I think Comet does that like once a week. A couple weeks ago they showed
serenity as a two-part episode about three from the end. It seems it’s
numbered that way now. Which makes no sense if you watch it. In that order
you’ve got to wonder why the dead people from the movie are alive again in
the last three episodes!

So a good deal of it was dedicated to advertising their new app, GIZMOPLEX
which everybody else seems to call MST3K.

I got the app for both the Firestick and the iPhone. By creating a free
account you get to watch like 10 years of MST3K episodes free as well as ad
free. The only thing you can rent or buy would be the new episodes. So this
is an amazingly good deal.

Well sort of. Although the app itself actually is called MST3K despite all
their ads for it calling it gizmoPlex.

The creator and original host, Joel, owns gizmonics Institute, which is why
when he left, they had to change it to deep 13.

But he’s involved with this, so I suspect it’s very complicated.
