Folks in Oshawa, Ontario - not too far east of Toronto -
got a shock when they saw a kangaroo hopping alongside the road.

https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/kangaroo-spotted-on-the-loose-east-of-toronto-1.6669712

Despite a police investigation, no kangaroo was found. It has
apparently gone to ground somewhere. Bizarrely, none of the zoos in the
area is missing a kangaroo so the source of the bouncing marsupial
remains a mystery. As you probably know, kangaroos are NOT indigenous
to Canada! The poor thing must be freezing: we had a foot of snow
earlier in the week, although it melted off yesterday.

When and if the owner of the kangaroo is found and the two are
reunited, Rolf Harris has some relevant advice:

It seems that the origins and the location of the kangaroo have now been
established:

https://www.cp24.com/news/jumped-over-their-heads-kangaroo-escapes-ontario-zoo-during-overnight-stay-1.6669733

It remains to be seen how long it will take government officials to
bring a tranquilizer gun to where the kangaroo is holed up so he/she
can be safely taken to its original destination in Quebec. Just in case
anyone was wondering....
