(I had a bootleg Bombay also, rescued him as a very young kitten, where his mother had him was disturbed by construction and he got stepped on, so I took him home to keep him comfortable till he passed (I was certain it would happen) and 13 years later I was still keeping him comfortable)

this actually ties in with my comics interest, since James O'Barr first turned me on to Lucy Maud Montgomery when he used a poem that started "My kitten must love the night, " (goin' by memory here) which sent me on a wild cat chase for its author.

OK, I found the answer I put away from my wild cat chase...
I had discovered Lucy Maud Montgomery in the process, but the actual poet was Lois Weakley McKay
