If I post poetry and it is buried to the bottom by the usual suspects, I'll assume the truce is null and void.

I would like Dockery to post a few hello's per day rather than 20..and would like him to inform Jordy the new guidelines.

If and when Sulzbach returns, I ask Dockery to tell him about the truce and the burying must stop.

It would be nice to see poetry rise to the top.

I'll be posting poems here and on the AYoS. If I feel that this truce isn't going as planned, I'll post a warning shot. If nothing works to insure the peace.

Senetto, you seem to be asking that when you post a poem that we should not post anything after that so as not to "bury" your poem. I don't see that as a realistic possibility, because it would mean not posting on the group, which goes against the reason why the poetry group exists.

My main focus for a truck isn't that, it's the malicious troll and attack posts that would need to cease, not for all posting to cease.

That means not posting, which is an unrealistic request.

Here's the problem:
(1) Team Monkey spends the day making shitposts about "Team Donkey".
(2) "Team Donkey" (mostly you and Jordy, and Zod when he was here) spends the night getting those shitposts off the front page.
(1) leads to (2), and (2) leads to (1). Neither is going to end, truce or no truce.

His problem with (2) is that when he posts a serious attempt to write poetry it gets buried, along with all the trash of (1). But leaving the trash of (1) alone is not an option. So what to do about those serious attempts at poetry? How can those be kept from being swept out with the trash?

This looks like the answer: "There's one other way for a post to stay at the top; for people to keep bumping it up. "

So I'd suggest we try that. Keep doing (2) as usual, with all the normal threads and conversations; but, if you run into any poems he's posted, bump them as well. No elaborate critiques, just the normal courtesy bump that a new person posting a poem would get. "interesting poem," "thanks for posting," "Good to see some new poetry here," "I'd like to read it a few times more before I comment," whatever. Just to keep those posts in circulation. I don't mind trying that myself, for a few days. After a week or so, we can decide if it's had any effect and whether it's worth continuing.
