I'm glad to see that poem back on the group, Will. It brought back some fond memories.

(1) I'd call that my first venture at "editing" your work. Let me state up front that *all* I did was give you the idea of using the ellipses. It came up when you first posted the poem; back in those days, it was far more common for people to post poems here and for others to give them helpful criticism. I said then (and still do) that the poem reads like a dream, with a rapid succession of scene changes. But I thought that you should indicate those changes. I gave you a couple of options, and you went for the ellipses..

(2) It's the first poem you gave me (a copy of) for PPB, back when I was editing /April/ magazine. I was looking at the "April" contributors this morning, and while there are quite a few aapc poets represented, it looks like you and Jim Senetto are the only ones besides me still here.

Yes, both issues are logged there. For 3 poets, the poems no longer appear, but there are links to their poems.

I won't give you a link, though. Instead I'll tell you how to navigate to the poem in two clicks. It's better that you do it that way, because in the process you'll be learning new stuff you can use to navigate and view your own "Shadowville Mythos" blog. Let me show you how using the 2010 issue, the one with "Ganesha Girl" listed.

Starting from any page on the blog:

(1) Scroll down the "Contents" on the left side of the blog page; find and click the year 2010.

A new page will open up, probably with a New Year's Eve poem. You're in the annual archive, which contains all the poems posted that year, starting with the most recent. The "Contents" have changed as well; the blog has collapsed the 2023 contents (to just the year) and expanded the 2010 contents.

(2) Scroll down the "Contents" again; find and click the month April.

A new page should open up. If the top post begins "Welcome to April" you'll know you're there; you're in the monthly archive for April 2010, which is the contents of the first issue.

Dockery's ability to "learn" is on the same level as teaching a dog to sit or stay. It doesn't always work.
