One day
after his mind had had its acid bath,
Dockery looked out the window
and Palm trees replaced dead hedges
and common Sparrows resembled colorful Parrots
and it was then, 'Shadowville'
became tinsel town.

"I can sing," and he sang.

"I can write poetry," and he wrote.

"I can bed down women besides my wife,"
and he did.

"I am somebody."

Dockery had run away
and hasn't been seen since.
