Conclusion

Episode done in still another style, showing her career after
Crossroads. She played Mama Rose in Gypsy but the show wasn't move to
the West End, claiming it was because contractual restrictions as the
show was revived on Broadway. It was a point made in dialogue. They did
a bit of "Rose's Turn" and a heart to heart with the cast in which she
was trying to be in character off stage.

She's sent on a multi-country tour for a few months. In Abu Dabai, she
experiences serious abdominal pain. In Bangkok, she gets arrested for
being in the audience at a strip show. The woman from the embassy
reveals that she had worked at the television network headquarters and
overheard the discussion that led to her firing.

Back in the UK, she has a heart-to-heart discussion with the producer of
Crossroads, and got him to confess that he had vented about her
overbearing behavior to the new studio executive. Unlike the previous
bosses, he acted. Nolly realized her firing was unintentional.

Nolly is asked back to make a special appearance on Crossroads and gets
a trip to Vienna out of it. Her friend is already discussing her illness
and, in a cut-in scene, she's seeing an oncologist. It ends back with
Nolly's special appearance; pure nostalgia. She'll die of stomach cancer
within a couple of years. Crossroads goes off the air in another season.

I liked this a lot.
