The smearing of Roger Waters
Baseless claims on social media that former Pink Floyd singer Roger Waters used anti-semitic imagery at recent concerts in Berlin are being elevated by media figures and politicians who detest his involvement in the BDS movement and his calls for peace negotiations in Ukraine.

Sorry, Michael Monkey, but Pink Floyd is on-topic here. For one thing, I'll remind you that we've seen at least two poems here lately that were based on Pink Floyd's work: my "At the Gates of Dawn" and your chimp's "Good Bye [sic] Cruel World."

More importantly, your Asstroll has been spreading this very smear on multiple threads on aapc for the last two months -- though you probably weren't paying attention again -- so of course it's on-topic to address it.

The lyrics of Pink Floyd (several different writers) is actually better poetry than anything you've ever written, in my opinion, Pendragon.

HTH and HAND.

Will Donkey wrote a poem about tacos, which I parodied in an OB poem. That makes two poems based on tacos.

By your Dunce Logic, that would make tacos a suitable topic for discussion here.

Please follow the Guidelines, or find a different group that is more suited to your needs.

Lo7! My brain playing tricks on me again-- first glance I saw:
"Post spam links to your [diabolical] blog... "

OMG! That flows-- I possibly see a poem...

Wrong again, Lying Michael. Will wrote a poem; you wrote some doggerel verse. That makes one poem based on tacos.

> By your Dunce Logic, that would make tacos a suitable topic for discussion here.

"Suitability" has nothing to do for it. If tacos were being discussed, then they would *in fact* be a topic for discussion here, whether you liked it or not. And, as I just told you (but don't mind repeating), Roger Waters is in fact a topic for discussion here:

Why do you expect anyone to follow your "Guidelines" when (as just noted), none of your own Bandar-Log do that? All you do with them is weaponize them to use against your pack's real or imagined enemies, just as you're doing here. That does not improve the group in any way; it does not encourage civil discussion, or interest, or any of the other ideals you duplicitously and sanctimoniously claim to be promoting.

Yes, it will be good to get the record straight in this.

How is criticizing putting a star of David on a pig baseless, unless you support the Nazis doing it as well. Now if I was to do something like that here-- you shit slingers would be all over me like flies on shit, condemning me for it-- but it's alright for Waters to do it somehow...

https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-rogerwaters-pig/fact-check-inflatable-pig-at-roger-waters-show-10-years-ago-featured-star-of-david-idUSL1N37X0TS

Why is the Star of David on a pig anti-Semtic?
"The cartoon contains numerous antisemitic tropes. Firstly, the pig, which is reminiscent of the Judensau (see above, page 5). The use of the pig further degrades Jews as less than human. The pig then has the name of a Jewish banker family “Rothschild” emblazoned on it, from which others are feeding, suggesting Rothschild control and power. The Jewish Star of David superimposed on a bank, suggests ewish control of the banks. Alongside the bank are various world figures, presumably also in the pay of ‘the Jew’. "
-- Antisemitic Imagery and Caricatures

The Octopus, The Animal, The Child Murderer and Blood Eater, The Jesus Killer, The Fat Banker, The Corruptor, The Vampire, The Devil and The Devil Worshipper, The Jewish Enemy, The Controller, The Puppet Master, The Warmonger, Mear One, Soros and The Puppet Master, New York Times Dog on a Leash Cartoon, Carlos Latuff Labour Party Conference, Theresa May Banner, Kayla Bibby’s Bloodsucking Octopus, Netanyahu the Builder, Rothschild Pig, Jewish Swine and Scrabble, Death Knocking on the Door, Jewish Gold
- - - - -
I'm seriously side eyeing Waters, he is starting to remind me of someone else with how sloppy he is with his criticisms and how he falls for all the tropes...

"Roger Waters' alleged antisemitism controversy: The full story so far..."
https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/roger-waters-alleged-antisemitism-controversy/

with a timeline of other screw ups...

The Jewish Star of David next to dollar signs
(like with his putting the Star of David on an inflatable pig prop, the dim witted fool uses the symbol of Jews everywhere to symbolize the nation/government of Israel-- he should have used the flag of Israel instead, because he just comes across as targeting Jews in general rather than the government of Isreal)

Waters is accused of antisemitism by Rabbi Abraham Cooper
Waters is accused of antisemitism by Rabbi Abraham Cooper after one of his concerts displayed a giant pig balloon sporting the Star of David. Waters says he did not mean to cause offence and this was merely one of several religious symbols displayed throughout the show.

Waters claims there is a “Jewish lobby” in the music industry
Waters compares Israel to Nazi Germany
Waters voices a conspiracy on the death of George Floyd

"In the same interview with the Middle East Media Research Institute, he says that George Floyd was killed using Israeli military techniques."

## I do believe he has become fixated on Israel and is transposing it onto everything... or is playing up to Palestinians
And he sounds like a kook like a certain apologist of his

Didn't Dance condemn your Usenet friend for posting political blog links here? HE DID!!
No one is interested in your and Dance's setting anything "straight," not when your idea of straight is smearing people for speaking out against transphobia and expressing solidarity with trans individuals, by outright libeling those people with lies that they incite and applaud mass murder of school children...

Prove it, Dunce.

I maintain that my poem was superior to the Donkey's.

I shall repost both poems here. Please explain how the Donkey's is in any way a superior work:

At the Taco Stand

I often think of my past and the best tacos
I'd share with Kathy on Victory Drive;
when the taco stand closed long ago,
the Thursday special was a buck for five.
Back in 1980 at Buena Vista taco stand,
over from the Zodiac and Mickey's, that music row
at the little table there I'd hold her hand
eating a taco after the rock show.
The red and green sauce there were made from scratch,
hard to decide on which, both mighty fine
though we did decide the green sauce had no match
at the taco stand, her eyes staring into mine.
Nostalgia, alone with chilling wind
and visions of my Lady Katherine.

-Will Dockery

***

At the Taco Stand

Took my bitch out for tacos on Victory Drive,
on Thursdays when tacos were a buck for five;
I'd dribble some salsa on top of my dick,
and push Kathy's face down and tell her to lick;
as I chomped on my tacos and sat in my truck,
then I'd pull off her blue jeans and have me a fuck;
then I'd dribble more salsa and get some more head,
while Clay lay asleep in the truck's cargo bed;
then she'd suck off some fucker in truck number two,
and we'd use the five dollars to buy us some brew;
I'd tie Clay's stroller down to the cargo bed's floor,
then head out on the highway to the liquor store;
A few brewskies later and back to my shed,
Where Kathy and I could lie down in our bed
And watch pretty colors the rest of the night;
While back on the pickup's bed, snuggled up tight,
Young Clay snored away like he hadn't a care
All curled up like a kitten on top of the spare.

Wrong, Dunce.

Tacos are not a suitable discussion for a poetry group.

FYI: AAPC is a poetry discussion group. This means that its *sole* purpose is to provide a forum in which poetry lovers can *discuss poetry* with those of a similar mind.

I expect everyone to follow the group's guidelines, Dunce.

A discussion group is a communal entity and, as such, cannot survive as such if members flagrantly break the rules and attempt to turn it into something that it is not.

I used to regularly point out when your Bandar-Log broke a Guideline, and you would regularly exempt / excuse them. The only people you have ever trolled to "enforce" them have been people already on your enemies list: Ilya, Jordy, Will, Rachel, Zod, and myself. Whether you "expect" your followers to follow your Guidelines or not, your failure to do anything about them not doing so while mouthing platitudes like that only shows your duplicity.

aapc is not a "discussion" group. It's a poetry workshop that survived for more than 25 years without any "Guidelines," and has never been less likely to survive than since you began using them to troll the group.

> Just look to AAP and RAP and one will see the fate of AAPC...

aap was never a real group, Asstroll. And RAP is orders of magnitude better than aapc.

Yes, the obvious double standard here remains in place... and enforced...

Enforced you say-- do you think I'm stupid as well as blind? No one can enforce anything you on you spammin' trollin' tools-- look at your posts being the only to be seen on the first page and tell me something being enforced upon you other than your own ignorant stupidity. I laugh at your desperation to dominate for everyone's attention-- just like with JV's and commercials, the harder you try the more you turn off people.

As the old saying goes...
Usenet is Forever...

Is that so, then where's the great thong of users?
Where's all the many poets?
Usenet is soon to be the Internet's old age home!!

"What's the difference? Besides you, who's still here from that time? George Dance and Jim Senetto?
No one reads the archived material. You like to fool yourself into thinking they do, so you bump your old threads 24/7.
Ten years from now we'll probably both be dead -- and just as probably most of the others here will be so as well.
No one will be around to bump your threads, and even if Jordy continued to bump them in a pathetic effort to keep your memory alive, no one would be reading them.
Usenet groups have been dead since social media platforms like Facebook came on the scene and replaced them.
The *only* prayer that a group like AAPC would have of remaining relevant (to some extent) would be if it actually were a forum where contemporary poets discussed one another's poetry and literary theories.
No one is ever going to explore a forgotten Usenet group when half the posts consist of two idiots saying "hello" to each other over and over again. Ironic, isn't it?
You base your hopes on AAPC remaining as an archive of Will Dockery's thoughts and works -- and you're the one who's systematically destroyed any hope of future relevance that AAPC might once have had."

"It’s not like Usenet is a new thing. It’s ancient,
archaic, and all but dead. We are remnants,
survivors, what remains of what was once
considered not only important, but integral
to the advancement of human communication.
Now, everybody else has moved on to other
social media and means of social interaction,
leaving us here to do this. Good morning."

"Google Groups effectively salvaged what was left of Usenet, so saying they broke Usenet is rather uncharitable.
Gen Z doesn't even use email, so "any new user becoming interested in Usenet" seems unlikely. "
Ask HN: Why isn't Usenet used anymore?

Me and mine, we're truly all sympathies
for your loss of Usenet poetry doomed to antipathies
Only if we had such strident voices of thunder
we would drown out the strife, cast it asunder
But unfortunately, we're merely dreamers
and can just encourage you remaining true believers
Despite what slights may come, keep your goals in sight
to spite what fools may say, fight the dying of poetry's light

The truth of harsh reality is a lil too daunting for lil attention spamming sWilly? Lo7! The only "new" people that will ever come here wasteland is Usenet vagabonds that never stay to rest, in their desperate quest for attentions dreamt of, lest you forget that which you endlessly obsess upon...

Watching how you typo trollin' tools run amuck around here, spammin' out everybody, without a fear or care for your rep, even pious meek Jordy childishly thumbing his nose at everybody; nothing is being enforced upon you. How #GeorgeJDance can knowingly libel people (protesting transphobia), with blatant falsehoods*, the only people enforcing things upon others is you fools...

*and taunt people about the libel that he knowingly did:
George Dance May 6, 2023, 7:47:49 AM
"I don't know why you think [RR] reads aapc. (AFAIK, he does nothing but post his blog links here.) Or why you can win a libel suit over usenet comments. (You can ask Cujo about that.) But, just in case he is reading, let's give him something to sue about."

I'm too busy to write my own article on it (that one's reprinted from a leftist publication, the Jacobin) but this is probably the place to set up notes.

The thing is, both those "anti-semitic" things Waters was charged with were no different from what he and PF had been doing since 1980. Waters always wore his fascist dictator's coat with the crossed hammers for "in the Flesh" and everyone understood it was an anti-fascist statement; no one confused it with an "SS uniform" until now. And since the "Animals" LP the pig balloon has had a Star of David, along with a Christian cross, a Moslem crescent and star, a dollar sign, and (IIRC) the Shell Oil logo and the Golden Arches. Waters is far left, like Stephen Jay Morris eg. He's making a statement about the superstructure of capitalism, of which to them religion is a fundamental part.

The Israeli government has been calling Waters anti-semitic since he began supporting the BDS movement against Israel in 2016. I don't support that, but then I'm not far left. That doesn't explain U.S. and EU bureaucrats and politicians, and their supporting media, joining the pile-on now; they had no trouble leaving Waters alone for seven more years.

To explain why Waters is being defamed in 2023, one has to look at what's happened in 2023. Which I'll put in my reply to Zod, to keep both of your threads going.
