It isn't old school, Donkey, as there isn't any meter.

It isn't poetry, Donkey, as it fails to rise above the mundane. It's a string of empty clichés to the effect of "Life sucks" without ever explaining why. (Beauty glitters and gleams, but is not what she seems? Okay, what is Beauty then, and why isn't she what she seems?) The title (I'm assuming that "Cat" is intended in the 40s jive sense) hints that the "poem" is making fun of some nihilistic hipster.

As with 99% of your "poetry," it reads like the poorly written lyric to a rock song -- and I've no doubt that at some point in what passes for your life that you've performed it as such.
