Liz Truss is well-known for lacking international skills in diplomacy.
She is crudely anti-Russian for instance. She adheres to a hard line
in defending Britain's interests and *does not wish to take into
account the position of others or to make any compromises*.
This will not help to maintain or strengthen the UK's reputation on
the international stage. However, a slight majority of British voters
recently surveyed said they backed Liz Truss's reservations about the
French President (because, for one, he is not doing enough to stop
migrants {eg Albanians} crossing from France to England).

good chance of returning to power before the next general election in
