THURSDAY 9-8-22

The category is 1950s Music

1950s Music for $100. And the answer is!

Counting all of Billboard's various pop charts (Sales, DJ and Jukebox), it was the only year during the 1950s where no record was number one for just one week.

1950s Music for $200. And the answer is!

They were the 2 longest running records at number one (11 weeks each) on the Billboard R&B Disc Jockey Lists during the 1950s.

1950s Music for $300. And the answer is!

This singer played professional baseball in the minor leagues before becoming part of a hitmaking recording act a couple of years later and then having an even bigger career doing other things in show business after the 50s.

1950s Music for $400. And the answer is!

This group originally formed with 3 boys who came together to record a song written by one of them for their junior class play at Valley Stream Central High School.

WRONG, Jimmy Boyd's Christmas record was number one for the first week of 1953.

Still have these 3 open. I'll give extra clues this afternoon if they are still unanswered.

1950s Music for $100. And the answer is!

Counting all of Billboard's various pop charts (Sales, DJ and Jukebox), it was the only year during the 1950s where no record was number one for just one week.

EXTRA CLUES

1950s Music for $100. And the answer is!

Counting all of Billboard's various pop charts (Sales, DJ and Jukebox), it was the only year during the 1950s where no record was number one for just one week.

Only 14 songs got to number one for this entire year, and only 10 of those topped the sales chart.

1950s Music for $300. And the answer is!

This singer played professional baseball in the minor leagues before becoming part of a hitmaking recording act a couple of years later and then having an even bigger career doing other things in show business after the 50s.

The hit making recording act was a white vocal group.

1950s Music for $400. And the answer is!

This group originally formed with 3 boys who came together to record a song written by one of them for their junior class play at Valley Stream Central High School.

The 3 boys added a girl to the group before they started recording.

Here are the 2 that were never answered correctly:

1950s Music for $100. And the answer is!

Counting all of Billboard's various pop charts (Sales, DJ and Jukebox), it was the only year during the 1950s where no record was number one for just one week.

Only 14 songs got to number one for this entire year, and only 10 of those topped the sales chart.

What is 1955?

1950s Music for $300. And the answer is!

This singer played professional baseball in the minor leagues before becoming part of a hitmaking recording act a couple of years later and then having an even bigger career doing other things in show business after the 50s.

The hit making recording act was a white vocal group.
