After Leadbitter went apeshit over this one (that I had never heard of
previously) I made a point of looking out for it on the UK release on
red Vogue label. No luck but I did find it at last on a beat up Vogue
EP for pennies in some London street market. It had The Swallows on
one side (It Ain't The Meat and Roll Roll Pretty Baby) and the
Dominoes on the othe (Sixty Minute Man and Have Mercy Baby).
It was my introduction to both groups and was one TERRIFIC EP!

Sadly I never did find thatt UK 78 tho and have still NEVER seen an
actual copy of it

And it's a high 9 for me

Nope

I mentioned this on here before. The EP was coverless and well beat up
tho still playable. I did find one in much better condition later but
still had no cover on it

I can't imagine who Sampson had in mind when he wrote this:

"If you’re the kind – and there are a surprising amount of them among the grey haired constituency – who don’t care about lyrics, you can skip the rest of this review because that’s the obvious focal point of the record and the primary reason why it has yet to be forgotten."

I should have mentioned this 78 was released here in 1952 Vogue 2136
and the flipside was "Roll Roll Pretty Baby"
