i know the two door cinema
like concert hall
where they come in
and there is a vertical sign

the grand

people sit there in suits even though
they are poor and the sign says
"patton" and they put their hands down
and say "we will win the war"
look at the pretty girl sing

it's worth a million dollars
to live near there
but does she have it
the singer
or is that just too strange

i come in after her
and i'm not doing quite as well
I think
and I'm just thinking about it
and this time
if it's ever going to happen again
at first i thought probably
but then...

the man counts the money
for the show
and I get a little for the next one
