Stan was recalling psalm 18
in the Bible where David
was saying the Lord was his
rock his sword his fortress

He also recalled psalm 40
where it says to wait patiently
for the Lord
And Psalm 22

Where Jesus quote it
on the cross and David
said there are strong bulls of Bashan
surrounding me

He also remembered psalm 119 when
it was said the Lord and the word is a
"light unto my feet and a light unto my prayer"
then he prayed for a better cure.

He spent the week making 50 derivatives
of one chemical.
And Leif
did too.

He put on his googles and looked at everything
expertly.
He was responsible
but thought, a multimillion dollar drug wouldn't

be enough, he needed something to sell in the billions
but somehow that was not going to happen today.
He told Popov.
And she was dismayed.

But him and Popov tried each of the 50
chemicals
on the 10 proteins
and it took

the next 2 years to actually do this.
They continued to do this,
and didn't find anything.
Suddenly there was one chemical on chembl

Iaa looked at Popov
"Look here" she said.
And looked at it,
And they chose one more candidate.
