I thought I'd listen to the Brilliant Classics set of complete Bruckner
symphonies. This is the 9 CD set with several conductors: Neumann,
Konwitschny, Sanderling, and Rögner. In Amazon it says "Streaming - 31
songs included with Prime." I didn't pay attention to the "31 songs"
part, I just assumed I'd be able to listen to the whole set. Wrong!
There are 35 tracks in the 9 CD set, but for some reason when the album
was made available in Prime Music, they dropped movements from
symphonies 1, 2, 4, and 7. (Symphony 1 drops 1st and 4th movements, #2
dropped the 4th, #4 and #7 dropped the 3rd.) Has anyone run across this
with other albums? Is there a rational explanation? The explanations I
found in Google searching had to do with copyright problems or poor
sound quality, but clearly that wouldn't explain these omissions.

The scherzo from No 4 plays for me on music.amazon.com. Go figure!

The bit-rate seems low, judging by the gargling opening.

I don't pay for Amazon music, just Prime. I just searched for it and most of the movements you name as missing are there. One of Neumann's from 1 is gone, but the other symphonies show four movements. Perhaps this was a temporary database glitch.

This happens a lot and not just on Amazon Prime. There are quite a few albums on Qobuz wherein one or two tracks of a multi-movement work are unavailable for streaming (their stream of Previn's Walton 1 on RCA had this problem, for example). Possibly this is a ploy by the rights' holders to not so politely encourage streaming listeners to also pay for the physical product. It's annoying and one of the reasons I cancelled my streaming accounts last year.
