Hmm. A medieval approach to art: a collective of anonymous artists working together in honour of a famous client.

Most of them did an excellent job.

Nope. This is one pianist, and it is a live performance.
It was split manually into the individual works so as
not to require listening through the whole thing, or
searching for works of interest to the listener.

So what do you think?

As I said, most of it was excellent. And I'm surprised. Never believed that the performer of for example the Evocaion could be the same as the performer of Lavapies. It makes him all the more interesting.

AFAIK this set is not available in a CD version.
There is an earlier recording on CD which also
includes Navarra, Azulejos and La Vega. It is a
fantastic performance as well, however the one
on DVDs is even better!

The DVD set sounds infinitesimally
better to my ears, both artistically
and in sound quality. Otherwise it
is a very strong contender as well.
