It should be obvious by now, but it bears repeating.
There is no Russian Piano School. Most of what is
described as the Russian Piano School is actually
the Ukrainian (Odessa/Kiev/Lvov) Piano School:

Heinrich Neuhaus
Vladimir Horowitz
Sviatoslav Richter
Benno Meowseiwitch
Alexander Brailovsky
Evgeny Mogilevsky
Vladimir Krainev
Samuil Feinberg
Nikolai Kapustin
Vitalij Margulis
Emil Gilels
Yakov Zak

.... and probably others I don't remember right now

Additionally, many of the remaining "Russian"
pianists are/were actually Georgian or Azeri:

Khatia Buniatishvili
Elisso Virsaladze
Dmitri Bashkirov
Bella Davidovich
Rudolf Kehrer

As usual, significant fractions of both groups
are or were German and/or Jewish.
