I had forgot about his fiddling with the sound. You are surely correct,

On cursory glance, the only stereo omissions from the three earlier boxes appear to me to be the 1956 Beethoven 1 and 8, which weren't issued in stereo in the U.K. and were replaced by the 1963 versions. On the other hand, there are several mono recordings in the earlier boxes that, naturally, do not appear here; one trusts they will show up in the second set.

I notice JPC has pushed the release date to the end of the year. And whatever happened to the many times delayed Jessye Norman box? This may be headed to the same fate.

I see that the box is selling on U.S. Amazon for $327.99, which is pretty pricey; listed for EUR 199.99 on the French and German sites, but unavailable. Has anyone seen it cheaper than $327.99? Should we expect Amazon's price to come down?

Turns out I have about 50 CDs of Ansermet recordings on Decca or London. More on other labels. I don't know if any of them are in the Decca box.

According to Deutsche Grammophon's website, "The releasedate [Dec. 31, 2022] is a placeholder. The real date will be announced here as soon as it is confirmed." I don't know why this is on DG's site and not Decca's, but I saw somewhere that the set is scheduled to come out in September.
