I part company with Samp here as I have this Johnny Ace release in January 1953

Therefore I believe it was correctly included in the 1953 Singles Battle

I'm with you but it's very close. Reviewed Jan 17 so it would have to have been released just after the new year and reviewed right away in an issue that would have had a deadline of like Jan 7-9 to get into an issue with a cover date of Jan 17. But a new release by him coming off of a number one hit would have done that.
