1951 was the first year that Mac Wiseman released records under his
own name, being two singles on the Dot label.

for me, the star attraction on these four sides is not Mac Wiseman's
tenor vocal, but the banjo playing of Joe Medford, who unbelievably
had graduated from high school just a year earlier in 1950:
