I hear this is a "comfort food" favorite in the UK.

Never thought of it quite that way but it was a favorite regular meal when I was a kid and its a quick snack I still enjoy occasionally now

I occasionally enjoy beans sandwiches, with two pieces of white bread. I'll have to try toast. I'm also a fan of bacon sandwiches.

Me too. In the past I've trimmed off any white bacon fat and nuked it
until crispy (not burnt) - yum!
(I've never eaten any meat fat unless it's 'crispy', I'll discard it,
for instance any fat on a steak or on a slice of roast meat)

Not a bacon fan. The ONLY time I touch it is on a BLT. Although I do like Canadian bacon.

I can see me liking that as when I have some beans I sometimes dip bread in the bean sauce.

I grant you it's wildly off-topic, but I never heard of this dish before
and was very surprised to learn about it.

Learning is good.

OK, I'm telling Susan about it. She preactically eats it every morning
for breakfast anyway -- a bean burrito.

Well, sure. If they had said beans, shredded beef, queso, and hot sauce on toast, I might have been more open minded :)

I sounds a bit like some here are not certain exactly what the "beans on toast" we have here actually is

The "baked beans" come from a tin and like it says are...um...beans that have been baked--- and are now in a tomato sauce. Served on white (or brown) bread toasted

They look like this -
