They aren’t very G1, except in very broad strokes, so I’m not sure how our
resident G1 lovers will like them, but they seem to capture the cuteness of
Robot Heroes with actual transformations.

I’ll try a few.

I’m disappointed that Predaking is the TF:Prime Beast Hunters Predaking,
though, as I would have loved to see real G1esque Predacons — combiner or
not. (I could see for this line one set of transforming robots, and one set
of animals to Predaking, and I would have been fine with it, and wanted
Seacons too)

They're kind of adorable, even if they're just earlier toys that have been repurposed as the G1 Dinobots. It's just these guys over again:

https://www.amazon.ca/Transformers-Rescue-Bots-Mini-Figures/dp/B01BTE177A

I'm guessing this was one of the cost-cutting toy lines Hasbro came up with during 2020, and we're just now hearing about it.

At $3.97 a pop, I'll try them all. Worst-case scenario, I'll have some toys I can dig out in ten to fifteen years' time that I won't mind if my grandkids mash together.

Zob (let it never be said I don't plan ahead!)

Upon further digging, we were talking about these toys in 2014 and you said you bought some of them.

Do you still have them somewhere? Do you know where they are? Will you introduce your new Dinobots to your old ones?

Zob (every time I go digging through boxes, I rediscover toys I forgot I owned)

I have no memory of them. None. That was 7 years ago, though, so I’ll take
myself at my word.

No idea. They must be somewhere. I mention the big problem with the 2014
toys is that they are characters no one cares about, so having them be our
favorite Dinobots should help.

My memory is shit. But at least we can all agree that age of extinction was
a terrible movie.
