I am interested in some of the things Conrad Hansen recorded - the Mozart sonatas, the Beethoven concerto with Furtwangler, the Trout Quintet with Strub. I wasn’t aware of his Beethoven sonatas released on Melo Classics - I’ll be checking them out.

I don't find AdL "poetic" at all in
Spanish music. She plays very
elegantly, almost casually, with
a tendency to smooth out the
edges and the contrasts. For a
real Spanish feel one can listen
to Gustavo Diaz Jerez, Rafael
Orozco, Esteban Sanchez, Jose
Falgarona or Leopoldo Querol in
Albeniz, Jean-Francois Dichamp
in Granados, Gustavo Diaz Jerez
and Esteban Sanchez in De Falla.

AdL's take on Spanish music is
sunny and urbane like the city
where she was born and raised.
Not at all like the Spanish deep
country.
