I don’t love the plastics — he feels cheap the way Blurr did.

More importantly though, it’s been another 15 years since 2005, so instead
of referencing things from the 50s and 60s TV, he is now up to the mid-70s
or early 80s. (I assume Junkeon is 40 light years from Earth or so)

I think Wreck-Gar might be quoting Archie Bunker. Robot-dude is gonna get
himself cancelled for going on about the Pollacks and the Dagos. Also,
Hogan’s Heroes, Sanford and Son, Chico and the Man, Welcome Back Kotter and
Barney Miller. Maybe Soap. Oh, god, Roots.

All great stuff, but a lot of things are going to sound bad out of context.

Maybe someone gave him a box set of Friends or Seinfeld. We can only hope.
