June 15, 1964: Jimmy Nicol parted company with The Beatles leaving the Melbourne Hotel on Bourke Street at 8:00 in the morning accompanied by Brian Epstein who drove him to the airport, "after 12 fabulous days with the world at my feet" . Jimmy didn't say goodbye to The Beatles who were sleeping after their late night party. Jimmy: "I don't think I should bother them." At the airport Brian paid him for his services with £500 and a gold watch engraved "To Jimmy with appreciation and gratitude, from Brian Epstein and The Beatles." EMI held a reception for the group at the Epsilon Room Hotel in where John Lennon's anger was vented in the direction of EMI executives when he saw that the house had designed a different album cover for "With The Beatles" in Australia. (Australian law dictates that any artwork done for album covers abroad must be reprinted, and The Beatles' album did not escape this ludicrous treatment.) On the other hand, John was not in the mood to listen to any kind of explanation about it.

Performance at Festival Hall in Melbourne. Two sets. After the concert they went to a private party in their honor given by the High Society in the wealthy suburb of Toorak.
