Lugano 14 May 1965 - Orchestration Scherchen (his first recording)...

4 - CBC Toronto chamber orchestra - *Kenneth Gilbert* - November 8,
1965 - Orchestration Scherchen...

5 - Ensemble instrumental de Paris - March 24 1966...

Bach's masterpiece preoccupied HS all his life...Who gave many times
the orchestrations of Glaeser and Vuitaz in concert, but who,
dissatisfied with these editions, took decades to write his own, which
was ready only shortly before his death in 1966...And which is,
undoubtedly, by far the best...

We will therefore choose the magnificent Vienna recording with
Tacchezi, which is also beautifully recorded...
The Toronto recording benefits from 25 minutes of rehearsals, by a
tired and irritable HS!...
