Looking through the archives of this newsgroup to see the ebb and flow of public opinion on strips is really interesting. In '04, I see some folks held up The Norm as one of the "new(er) strips that give you hope for the comics industry."

I'm just getting into it now, and I see there's at least 13 collections. Any particular recommendations as a start/end point? When was The Norm at its best? Or is it at its best in its 4.0 run?

That *was* a favorite. The collection I like best is "The Norm In Color" 2006
and done up like a traditional comic book: The 12 Steps to Marriage from 2002

I remember my fridge back then had a bunch of clipped daily Norm strips on it

Thanks for the recommendation! I've ordered The Norm In Color!
