The September 1992 issue of Rolling Stone featured an interview of then-governor Bill Clinton conducted by Jann Wenner, William Greider, P.J. O'Rourke, and Hunter Thompson. It's a substantial and sober (aside from Thompson) interview, but the Rolling Stone guys ended on a light note by asking Clinton to name his favorite Beatle and his preference in Elvis stamps (fat or thin).

P.J. O'Rourke began his summary of the interview with the following paragraph:

"So what did we learn here? Bill Clinton's favorite Beatle is Paul McCartney. He voted for the skinny Elvis stamp (which doesn't show much self-knowledge). Also, he bites his nails -- though they're bitten in a tidy, thoughtful manner, not gnawed to the raw quick the way crazy people do it. I'm sure this is all valuable information. I mean, *eeeeeyew*, Paul? Especially in a moment in history when America cries out for a president whose favorite Beatle is Ringo."
