I agree, the hybrid dinosaurs were unnecessary, there are so many
different kinda dinosaurs they could have easily found something
else for the Big Baddy, as they did in JP3 with the Spinosaurus.

Hopefully this time around they lay off on the Velociraptors and get
the Triceratops some screen time, as they’re my favorite dinosaur.

They find new species every year which makes sense because the group as a whole lived so long on Earth it was possible to have multiple evolutionary paths.
The one thing I never figured out about Jurassic Park, the original was where Laura Dern got the living "extinct" plant leaf. Mosquitos don't eat plants.
