In his Goldberg Variations he played his own adaptation. The booklet doesn't discuss what's going on in WTC but he may be removed from the Bach or indeed the Busoni adaptation.

Similar things with his Rameau . I'm listing to the WTC and it seems pretty obvious to me that this is an adaptation, probably his.
