Remember when Galoob's popular Micro Machines toy line was all the rage? Remember when it was so popular that Hasbro took a hard pivot with the Transformers toy line and created the Micromasters just to try to keep up?

Funny how times have changed.

So now that Hasbro owns Galoob and all its intellectual property assets, there's an officially branded Transformers themed Micro Machines playset on the way:

The existence of the little vehicles was leaked a little while ago, so in some ways we kind of already knew this was coming. It's based on the live action films (the playset folds up into a yellow Bumblebee-style Camaro, and the vehicles are all based on the 2007 movie franchise) but there might be something G1-related coming down the pike eventually.

One hopes it will be based on The Transformers: the Movie, and that Blurr will be included, and that John Moscitta can squeeze back into the mechanic's jumpsuit and do a commercial spot for it.
