Evidently the Voyager-class Bulkhead and the Voyager-class Blaster (repack of Kingdom Blaster) have been spotted at a Target store in New York, so the toy line is officially available finally.

Since we're already two and a half months into the year, I wonder if this means a truncated toy line, or whether whatever comes in 2023 will also be delayed for a few months to give us a full year of product?

Wow the entire line and all its waves will have come and gone by this time next year? Is that how it works nowadays? Entire lines come and go that fast? I guess I never noticed. It would explain why I only saw Kingdom Blaster twice. I guess I should keep an eye out for the Kingdom tail enders, but I don't know what those would be. But if this is the timing then that would mean Legacy's tail enders would land right around the holiday season so maybe they'll be abundant. Unless the movie toys kick in and overshadow Legacy.. Who knows.

I've still never seen Kingdom Blaster in person

We're getting the Legacy Core bots today though. I really want Iguanus and maybe a Skywarp.I feel like I already got a core scale Skywarp from Combiner Wars though.

I think the current Generations toys are a strong enough toy line in their own right that the Rise of the Beasts toys will be sold concurrently alongside of them, and not just supplant them at retail. It's not like the early days of the Michael Bay movies where Hasbro went, "Well, now we've got a year with no movie product, so let's throw some G1 characters or something at people for a few months and then we can get back to making movie toys again."

I guess the final wave of Kingdom toys are Core-class Hot Rod, Deluxe-class Pipes and Slammer, and Voyager-class Blaster (who I've also never seen). Because of the way wave five was added at the last minute, and the way the end of the toy line was artificially stretched out until Legacy was ready, I don't really think any of these toys have been super difficult for people to get. We know Blaster is getting a package refresh for Legacy, so it doesn't matter if anybody missed the Kingdom version.

I saw they're showing up in California, so it'll be here eventually

So far I'm getting Arcee but have to see the other Stunticons before I decide on Dragstrip

Depending on how far apart they spread apart the character releases, you might miss out on Drag Strip by the time the other characters hit retail.

I wonder if Hasbro will do the Stunticons in G2 colors again? With Motormaster being a Commander-class toy this time around, though, selling him to consumers a second time at $100 is a big ask.

I got CW Dragstrip last December, my CW Menasor is almost complete.

I also want to see if they all split in half and if you can mix and match or not.

I'm guessing that only Dead End and Drag Strip do it, and I imagine it's so each piece of them can be mounted on Menasor's upper and lower arms.

So then each bot is a set specific limb and not interchangeable? I feel it's a betrayal to the source toys.

Monstructor never appeared in US media during G1, and the IDW comic appearances were wildly varied, so what would be their source material? I don't know how many Pretenders they will do now that everyone complains about every Pretender either not having a shell or having a shell.

His toys were crap, and then they disintegrated, There really isn't enough detail anywhere to figure out the inside the shell forms, and people seem to not want added detail in favor of simplified screen accuracy this toy doesn't have to provide.

Hasbro said something about how they were eschewing the Scramble City functionality in favor of dedicated combiners. The way we've heard the Menasor configuration described, with Motormaster's trailer basically forming a frame for the individual Stunticons to attach to, I don't see how you'd be able to play mix-and-match.

I mean, we got Scramble City 2.0, essentially, with Combiner Wars. And that was great. But, there were a bunch of combiners who couldn't play mix-and-match even during G1 (Devastator, Predaking, Monstructor, Raiden) so to me it's not a big loss. They didn't swap arms and legs in the media, so it was a toy gimmick, not a character gimmick.

All valid points. The Pretender Monsters aren't like other characters where I would insist on seeing the cartoon version of them realized as toys. I'd be fine if they played it close to the vest and just updated the vintage toys, or they could borrow from the Dino Force cartoon models if they wanted to be really artsy (I think they just had extra spikes and things that the G1 toys didn't have).

Bare minimum, I would want to see the inner robots who can transform to monsters and then combine into Monstructor. Pretender shells would be ideal, of course. They could just design 'em like G1 so you could fold 'em into a box shape and shove them into the back of the monster.

Well, obviously whatever new versions they come up with aren't going to be made out of peanut brittle the way the G1 toys were. And, yes, the toys were total crap, but all the more reason to do updated versions! Stop looking for reasons for Hasbro not to give us a new Monstructor, man! Don't you know they read the fan forums?

the Marvel comic.
