day was like a little present and brightened my day a smidge. I miss it.

I found what seems to be the latest version on Wayback. There are a few
dead images, but most of them are still there.

I don't remember the web site, but I've seen those same icons floating around the web for a while now. They're super cute.

The last few days I've been obsessively messing around in Photoshop
making recolors that he never got around to doing. I don't even know
what purpose this serves by me doing this.

Is there some sort of website where I can share these GIFs that I
recolored? I'm so, so behind the times and have no clue about these things.

I was looking around on my hard drive and found so many things. I also
have a whole bunch of windows desktop .ico images. Many of them are
Transformers ones that I got from God knows where.

I also have a lot of MIDI files. I still use them for phone ringtones.
At some point the law changed in Japan and suddenly it was illegal to
post MIDIs of copyrighted songs and most of them all came down
practically over night. I really wish I had gotten more of them when I
had the chance.

Mediafire is pretty easy to use. Or, a lot of the kids today use Imgur. (I would suggest Reddit, but I honestly don't think it even recognized GIFs as a valid image format.)

There were so many creative fans doing stuff like that back in the day. For a long time, I had replaced the Windows hourglass with a tiny animation of G1 Optimus Prime transforming back and forth.

Is THAT what happened?! I used to listen to MIDI files constantly, but one day it seems like every site vaporized out of existence. I mean, I get that we don't really need them nowadays, but I thought people would have archived them for sentimental reasons. There was a great medley of Final Fantasy boss themes that I absolutely loved (it was maybe six or seven minutes long and began with J-E-N-O-V-A from Final Fantasy 7) and I forgot to save it to my external hard drive when I swapped computers (it was in my Windows Media folder) so I lost it. I would love to find that one again.

Many of them are just minor changes like eye color. Others took a lot of
work.

Those are honestly pretty cool. I didn't know there were so many Machine Robo color variants. I imagine the original artist would be quite flattered!
