One of the things I like about the original G2 Megatron toy is that it's basically the G1 Megatron cartoon design with some tank parts stuck to it. That carried over to his G2 comic book portrayal as well. So, if you take a G1 Megatron toy that turns into a tank, it already lends itself well to a bit of Geetwoification.

There are some color choices I would have liked to see done a little bit differently (the handheld weapon really should have been purple, so that it can more accurately complete the barrel in tank mode) but I'll definitely be buying this toy, regardless.
