I finally got around to reading this and really enjoyed it; not as
brilliant as the Praxis trilogy but still up there. Thanks to those who
recommended it. I still have the City of Fire to read.

It's too bad the third book never happened. Back when Williams participated in the group, he mentioned his efforts to interest a publisher.

Yes.I actually enjoyed City of Fire more than Metropolitan and I am not
sure why. I think it was probably just his writing skills, City of Fire
being a lot longer. I was not disappointed with the ending as I knew
there was no third book but from what had happened so far, I could see
Aiah's future. Of course it would give me a lot of pleasure to read of
the difficulties to be overcome along the way and I would definitely buy
the third book if written. Fingers crossed.
