Personally, I prefer not to have a link, just the search terms. Too many links lead to malware, safer to go to a trusted site and do your own search. Most security providers recommend against following a link unless it is sent by a trusted source and the source has told you about the link.

It would be better fun if people on RMCR just talked / wrote / opined about music, instead of providing links or pointers to frequently utterly pointless youtube vids.

It may not be either/or, but I would also like to see 8g's tone it
down or at least adopt some standards. Today it was Joe Rogan and
the New York Post. That's not a typo.

It might seem impossible for a post to be both content-free &
off-topic at the same time, but 8g's brings that kind of cruft on

Youtube/Google is not a trusted site, so a link and a description
is needed; adding search terms, too, is a nice touch, but search
terms alone is not valid. Search term hijacking is routine on
Youtube/Google, so giving search terms alone is playing hard to get.

I can make a guess about why gggg uses the search terms is because
videos are so often deleted, so search terms may find something
if the original file is deleted. Still, there's no excuse for
not including the original link when referring to something
specific.
