Just seen a performance on Arte given by the HIP baroque ensemble Jupiter: modern guitar soloist, two fiddles, viola (who took the big tune in the Adagio), cello and bass. It came at the end of a concert of Vivaldi concerti - including for mandolin - and overtures.

Many will be familiar with Miles Davis' version with Gil Evans.
