The piano is nothing special, but your tinnitus is
out of this world! ;-)

The performance is mechanical and perfunctory.

Thanks for the update and the correction.

The piano being a Fazioli does not improve
the (non-)performance. Whatever this piano
is, it does not sound like a good instrument.
The sound is thin, prickly and hollow. This is
also partly a result of the "pianist"'s lack of
basic touch production skills.

It has become pretty obvious from the string
of performances and recordings you mention
and/or recommend that you are only interested
in the raw sounds of the instruments and have
no ability and/or interest and/or understanding
of music interpretation.

Burkard Schliessman's "interpretations" of all
the repertoire he has recorded are among the
worst ever captured. His Variations Sérieuses
are the worst I've ever heard.

Slightly disappointed in his Bach partita on this recording - certainly doesn’t efface the memory of my favourite piano performance of it - Arrau. Arrau’s deep.

I’ll listen to his Schumann Fantasy on the new recording tomorrow - Schliessman is one of my favourite Schumann piano players.
