Early this morning, these images were making the rounds:

https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/first-look-at-legacy-voyagers-bw-inferno-and-armada-starscream/47034/

Armada Starscream looks like Armada Starscream. Apparently everybody's angry that his wing doesn't pop off and become a fat, awkward sword with hinges. That sword was one of the worst things about the Armada toy. But, anyway.

I'm already looking at the toy trying to figure out how they might try to redeco or remold him. He wouldn't make a bad Dreadwind or G2 Windrazor with some heavy remolding.

Inferno looks good in robot mode (he's got an opening jaw!) but he looks less good to me in beast mode. They're going for that whole realistic animal aesthetic, but it doesn't look like his 1996 toy, and doesn't look like the Mainframe CGI model. It just looks off somehow.

I'm sure they'll sell him to us again as Antagony.

Zob (FOR THE ROYALTY!)

This could be the best of both worlds - the heft and chunk of the original, with the poseability of the T30 mold. Plus neither of the previous molds are really compatible with today's CHUG scale...

I'm still lukewarm on the Kingdom beasts - they're perfectly serviceable, but the originals were good enough that these updates seem more like a lateral move than an upgrade. OG Inferno was fairly screen accurate, IIRC - I wonder if this update will shelfwarm like his predecessors?

He looks really good, so far. It looks like his jet pod things can flip
forward, like the original. I kind of prefer the Thrilling 30 missile
launchers rather than flipping forward, but this is more authentic.

I’m hoping there are 5mm ports so some of the Earthrise Micromasters can
act as minicons — some had handles for their weapon modes that might work.

This is a proper update. Way closer to the character than Prime Arcee and
Bulkhead. Looks like the only G1ification was to drop the minicons.

(I would have loved Minicons as well, even if they don’t trigger anything.
A spot for Swindle under his nose, or on the back, Swindle sold separately.
(2 minicons in a core package))

Or Armada Thundercracker, Ramjet or Skywarp. I wouldn’t mind one of the
other jets suddenly having an Armada version — Armada Sunstorm anyone, in
some awkward half reference to Thrilling 30 Jhiaxus?

He can stand in ant mode! Not just do a belly flop!

When they update a G1 character, a lot of the time they're able to give the toys things they didn't have in the 1980's, like individual legs, or working arms. There's arguably not as much room for improvement with Beast Wars, so I wonder if the "realistic beasts" approach was Hasbro's attempt to do something different, so they weren't just copying the 1990's toys. But, I wish they'd leaned heavily into the CGI look instead. But then I suppose there'd be less of a market for Masterpiece versions...

Can't be worse than Kingdom Tigatron.

Zob (seriously, why does nobody love Tigatron?)

It's baffling. He's one of the better Kingdom beasts, esp since his BW toy didn't resemble the CGI version at all.
