The bottom left says to display the magazine until January - and yes, I've seen it at the supermarket.

What's odd is that I CAN'T find it at life.com!

But, you can see the front and back here:

LIFE ceased all publication in 2000. This isn't even laid out correctly; the logo should be in the top left.

It depends on what you mean by "LIFE" I suppose. The ongoing magazine
is certainly no more, but Time-Life, or whoever owns them this week
can authorize the use of the name & logo whenever they like.

Well, it looks a bit more convoluted than I thought. Apparently
"Time-Life" owns neither the rights to "Time" or "Life". I think
it is "Time, Inc." which does, but the actually LIFE special issues
are published by Meredith (under license presumably), and it looks
like they do four a year. (You can subscribe if you like).

But I DID easily find the "Peanuts" special issue at the site...and I saw that on the same day at the supermarket, too.

In the meantime, here's another magazine I saw there - not connected with LIFE:

"Ghost Hunting: The Science of Spirits"

With interviews with "expert paranormal investigators Amy Bruni and Adam Berry." (It will be on the stands until Dec. 10th.)

I suspect that the important question is who owns the immense photo
archive.

It's sad to see that what is left of LIFE is now promoting pseudoscience
and superstition.

Remember that Fox News started out by showing the "alien autopsy" faked video.
Martin Gardner, in his "Fads and Fallacies in the Name of Science" pointed out that
pseudoscience poses a genuine danger to democracy.

Not to mention Fox Televsion aired the video on August 18, 1995, and
Fox News wasn't founded until October 7, 1996. Pretty amazing work,
airing a video over a yeare before they existed. Cue the time travel
conspiracy.

Or, as usual, Quaddie is full of shit.

Um, maybe you meant to quote the part on vampires instead?

As I said, the magazine about ghosts is NOT connected to LIFE.

Not to mention that maybe the vampire issue is just a nod to Halloween.

Unless you've read the issue (and I have not, and have no plans to),
you are taking it for granted that the "paranormal investigators" are
shams.

But they /could/ be a pair of Amazing Randis
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Randi>. He was also known as a
"paranormal investigator".

Gardner's columns in /Skeptical Inquirer/ were a sad decline from his
work in /Scientific American/. Ah, well, age catches up with us all,
if we live long enough.
